I am now in my tenth year as pastor of College Hill Presbyterian. I constantly affirm how blessed I am to be on a pilgrimage of faith with such a fine contingent of God's people.
I come from a long line of Quakers on both sides of my family. However, following a conversion experience in college, I joined the Doylestown (PA) Presbyterian Church at the age of 21. Subsequently I felt a call to ministry and, after graduating from Princeton Seminary, I was ordained by Philadelphia Presbytery in 1981. I have spent my entire career serving churches in Pennsylvania.
I am married to Barbara, also a Presbyterian minister, who is the General Presbyter of Lackawanna Presbytery. Between us we have four children and two grandchildren.
