College Hill Presbyterian Church
Education
Education has always been a focus of CHPC’s ministry. There are Sunday Church School classes for all ages, including adults. The youth programs are strong, with separate Junior and Senior High groups as well as one for grade-school children that meets on a monthly basis. In addition to the Sunday morning class, there are mid-week adult bible studies, as well as a special Lenten series. For more than 50 years the College Hill Presbyterian Nursery School has provided quality faith-based education to children in the greater Easton community.
Sunday Church School
On Sundays starting at 9:15 AM we hold Church School for Pre-K through 12th grade. This is a great chance for children and youth to be together and encounter Christ through learning and sharing together. We have an amazing staff of dedicated teachers and helpers who love and care for children. All are welcome!
This year Pre-K through 5th Grade will be using Group's FaithWeaver curriculum. Grades 6-12 will be using Feasting on the Word.
Adult Education
SUNDAY MORNING:
Please note there are two classes:
1) A class especially for parents of church school children up through sixth grade meets in the Rounsley Chapel to study the same scripture passage as the children will be learning in their classes. The goal is to foster conversations at home around what the family has learned that day.
In addition there is a class which meets in the Lounge which features different topics and studies.
TUESDAYS: (10 AM) Adults meet together for lectionary Bible Study and fellowship.
KIDSOWN WORSHIP
KidsOwn Worship will be in place of childcare for ages 4 – 2nd grade during the 10:30 service. Teams of adults will lead this activity using material from the FaithWeavers series. We will be meeting in the Fellowship Hall.
Youth volunteers 6th Grade and up are needed. Please sign up with Christy Molnar. Please be sure a registration form is filled out if your child plans to attend.
Childcare
We have volunteer staff available for nursery (up to 3 years old) during the Church School and Worship service.
