College Hill Presbyterian Church
Associate Pastor: Rev. Mihee Kim-Kort
I have had the pleasure of serving College Hill Presbyterian Church as the Associate Pastor for Youth and Children's Ministry since September 2006.
Though I have loved living on the East Coast since 2001, I am still very much at heart a Colorado girl. I grew up in Colorado Springs and attended the University of Colorado in Boulder for my undergraduate studies in English and Religion. I migrated to New Jersey in 2001 where I enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at Princeton Theological Seminary. I graduated in 2004 and worked various jobs [youth director, Starbucks barista, substitute teacher] before becoming ordained in April 2005 at United Presbyterian Church in Flanders, NJ. My husband, Andy Kort, is also a pastor and is serving at Pilgrim Presbyterian church in Phillipsburg, NJ.
I recently graduated with my second Masters in Theology at Princeton specifically in Religion and Society. Besides feeling called to youth ministry, I am passionate about the intersection of theology and ethics and social justice. I believe that God meant for us to live in meaningful and genuine community with one another and that is to be experienced in worship and service. I hope we are accomplishing that call at CHPC!
For fun, I love provocative films, music shows, coffee shops, snowboarding, all kinds of literature, going to baseball or basketball games with Andy, watching the travel channel [and travelling, too!], running, learning how to fix things around the house, and writing.
